h o m e

home home home home home home home.

Nine days away from home.

Gus was so great, really put up with a lot of change, but today was the last straw. He was done with it, all of it. As we pulled into the alley, even in the dark, he said, HOME! YEA!

More stories to come, bed must come first. I have a week's worth of email to catch up on in the morning, so I need to rest my eyes.

Future entry topics include:
-150 ways to say NO (as dictated by Gus)
-How to not do laundry for nine days (not recommended for the faint of heart)
-Convincing Gus that riding in the SUV is really like riding in a truck
-Understanding that when Gus says he wants to go home, he means the place we just left (and can he mention how sick he is of leaving every place that he thinks is fun?)
-Gus meeting Charlotte, Emma, Jaime, Adele, Alyssa, Deeps, Cyrus, Anna, Danny, and Julie, and re-meeting tons of DeVylders
-Calling Auntie Ali not by her name but by the phrase "Where are you?" and us knowing who he is asking about
-Gus letting Tio Emilio pick him up and take him everywhere, without a peep
-OH, and how it RAINED AND RAINED AND RAINED FOR EIGHT DAYS but stopped raining two hours before cousin Amy's wedding on Saturday for a gorgeous, gorgeous day and evening. Amazing.

toodles. About 150 pictures to come, hopefully easier to get through.
