Eli's first day of school

Eli's first day of school, originally uploaded by jannacybill.

This boy has finally had the chance to go to school. Let us all breathe a collective sigh of relief. John and Eli have had a lot of time together. Good times. Hard times. Times filled with potty training. With fighting over naps. With a month of Savannah behind him, and coming out of that month with no diapers in sight, he is now able to finally go to school and say, "Teacher, I need to go pee pee."

John took Eli this morning, as I thought it would be too hard (mostly for me) to see him go. Being a new place (and a center, not an in-home situation that he's been used to his whole life), and the worry of his reaction when we left kept me home. It was hard for John to leave, but in the end, I think our prep worked worked out. Every time we drove by, we would talk about Eli's new school, and we made two visits before today. When we picked him up, he was having such a good time...and added bonus, was wearing the same clothes we sent him in. Potty trained for reals, at 2 1/2.

Okay, I will be the first to say it... It's time for another one now. Don't hate me because you have georgous kids and are great parents! Your boys are precious. I loved reading about them starting their new schools.
