When to cry UNCLE
How do we do all the things we need to do? I'm seriously looking for advice...this is not just some blogged rhetorical question.
Ultimately, folks, I ask this question because I'm 31 and I have pimples. Pimples have returned to my face ever since I started preparing myself to go back to work. It's not the work itself that is stressful, it is the logistics and juggling of all the things that fall in the 16 hours a day that I'm not at work.
I need these pimples to go away because I now have a toddler who asks if I have an owie and tries to pick at my face (yes, I've created a monkey).
I'm trying to create some new habits to help things along, but the are yet to be habitual...like making sure the kitchen sink is cleared before going to bed. Washing the pump bottles, and Eli's bottles and sterilizing them all. Setting a load of laundry to start in the middle of the night so it's ready to dry in the morning. But when do you clean? When do you shower? When do you just chill out? How do you do stuff so that you're not freaking out in the morning when you're trying to leave at a certain time?
How can I just have the time to enjoy John, Gus and Eli? I know stuff can wait, but it has to be done eventually lest I be turned in for some decluttering show.
UNCLE!
