This is a learning moment, said John.
Ok, I've learned the hard way.
You shouldn't try to be involved in a TV show while the bathtub is filling up... not because it will overflow, not because your son will jump in and drown, oh no, not because of those two big, valid reasons.
You shouldn't watch TV while the tub fills because your lovely Gus will decide that not only is it time for him to take a bath, it's also time for... the stuffed bear... the baby doll (BABY BOB, more on him later)...the stuffed horse... another stuffed bear. I swear I heard his pitter patter from the living room to the bathroom and back, and it only seemed like 30 seconds, but in that time Gus managed to fill the tub with these items. I went in, unknowingly, to turn off the water. My brain had a hard time understanding what it was seeing.
Why is there a blue horse in the tub?
Why is Baby Bob...and the bear?...and, what?
"John!"
I grabbed the camera.
John comes in, Gus running excitedly behind.
He sees the wet carnage.
(Trying not to laugh) "Gus," says John, "This is a learning moment."
